Do not apply sealers or polishes to your Vadara surface. They are not necessary and over time can make your surface appear dull and/or inconsistent.

Avoid cutting directly on the surface, as this can leave behind metal marks from the knife. These marks are not scratches and can be removed by following the same procedure used for treating stubborn stains and spills. We highly recommend using a cutting board to protect the surface.

Vadara is heat resistant but not heatproof. To prevent damage from sudden temperature changes, we strongly recommend using trivets or hot pads—especially with appliances like electric frying pans or slow cookers. Avoid placing hot cookware directly on the surface.

Vadara is a natural stone product that requires seams for any installation exceeding 126" in length or 63" in width. While these seams will be visible, they are typically less noticeable than those found in granite surfaces.

Vadara�s nonporous and nonabsorbent surface is resistant to staining and eliminates the need for any sealing. Its nonporous surface also greatly reduces the potential for bacterial growth.

Vadara is highly durable and more resistant to surface damage than many other stone materials. However, like all stone, it is not immune to damage. No surface is completely chip-proof�impacts, especially around edges near sinks or dishwashers, can cause chips. While a minor knife slip will typically dull the knife rather than harm the surface, it's important to note that no stone surface is entirely scratch-proof.

While some customers have chosen to use Vadara in outdoor applications, please note that such use is not covered under Vadara's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Vadara surfaces can be affected by sudden or extreme temperature changes, particularly around the edges, as well as by direct or prolonged heat exposure. They may not tolerate direct contact with hot pots, pans, or appliances such as electric frying pans, griddles, crock-pots, roaster ovens, or heat lamps. To protect your countertops, always use a hot pad or trivet under heated items.
