Certain substances may not be effectively removed through standard cleaning methods, requiring specific procedures based on their nature. The duration for which the substance remains on the surface is crucial, and it is recommended to clean the area promptly. By doing so, the substance is prevented from drying out, facilitating easier removal.

Acid: Acidic cleaning products: descalers, cement removers.

Alkaline: Basic cleaning products: ammonia, degreasers.

Solvent: Universal solvent, thinner, turpentine, acetone, alcohol

Oxidant: Diluted hydrogen peroxide or bleach.

Clean spills as soon as possible, especially staining agents like wine, coffee, or oil.

Use chopping boards and trivets to protect the surface from scratches or thermal shock.

Clean regularly with neutral pH cleaners.

Dry the surface after cleaning to prevent streaks or mineral build-up.

To protect your Marazzi worktop, avoid the following products and tools:

• ❌ Waxes, polishes, or oily surface treatments
• ❌ Bleach, ammonia, or high-alkaline cleaners
• ❌ Generic descalers not labeled safe for porcelain
• ❌ Metal scouring pads or steel wool
• ❌ Abrasive sponges (except for post-installation use on tough spots)

After installation, adhesive or grout residue may remain on the worktop. Removing it properly is critical.

Steps:

1. Sweep or wipe surface to remove loose dust.
2. Use a controlled-pH acid cleaner (specifically made for porcelain) to break down cement or grout residue.
3. Dilute cleaner according to manufacturer instructions.
4. Apply with a brush or soft cloth.
   → For tough deposits, use an abrasive sponge or soft rag, rubbing gently by hand.
5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
6. Dry completely.

For wine, coffee, beer, food colourings, oil, grease:

• Use an alkaline cleaner or degreasing detergent (pH-balanced and safe for porcelain).
• Apply directly to the stain and let sit for a few minutes.
• Gently rub with a soft cloth or sponge.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry.

For metal marks, rust or limescale:

• Use a controlled-pH acid cleaner (specifically designed for porcelain stoneware).
• Dilute according to manufacturer’s instructions.
• Apply to affected area, wait briefly, and wipe clean.
• Rinse thoroughly.

Always test cleaners on a hidden area first.
Avoid abrasive sponges unless specifically needed
